Anime Expo reveals plans for a Blue Exorcist Special Event from Aniplex of America on Friday July 5th with their announcement of Nobuhiko Okamoto, who will be in attendance at the panel. Nobuhiko Okamoto is the voice of the main protagonist Rin Okumura, who is determined to become an exorcist despite being the biological son of Satan after Satan kills his guardian. Not only does he struggle with his heritage, he must also deal with how various factions see and treat him.

Set in a world where demons exist in a different dimension called Gehenna, the human realm, known as Assiah, must fight off the demons that invade. These defenders are called Exorcists. Unfortunately, not everything is clearly black and white. Blue Exorcist has one of the most compelling and heart-wrenching plots as the character discover more about themselves and learn about the greys in the world.

Blue Exorcist was first released in 2009 by creator Kazue Kato, and has continued to this date with over 30 volumes. It has sold over 25 million copies and is one of the best-selling manga. There have been three anime adaptations, with the most recent one (Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga) airing from January 7, 2024 to March 24, 2024. The next season is planned for an October 2024 release.
