HYDE recently confirmed that he will collaborate with MY FIRST STORY once again to provide the ending theme–“Eien -Tokoshie-“–for the new season of Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc). They were previously confirmed to be partnering for the opening theme “Mugen” for this arc of the series. Episode one officially aired on May 13, 2024, with a 1-hour special that aired the week before giving fans their official first listen to “Mugen” with the series.

HYDE is a prolific musician with an extensive list of credits and discography since rising to fame in the 1990s. He is best known as the lead vocalist for the rock L’Arc-en-Ciel, vocalist for rock duo Vamps (Hyde, K.A.Z), and lead vocalist for the infamous rock superband The Last Rockstars (Yoshiki, Sugizo, Miyavi, Hyde). In addition to these famous rock groups, he has also collaborated with and toured with many other artists, such as Apocalyptica, Danzig, Starset, and more. As a soloist, he has also been highly successful since the release of his first single “evergreen” in October 2001.
MY FIRST STORY is a Japanese alternative rock/metal band comprising of Hiroki Moriuchi (vocals), Teruki Nishizawa (guitars), Nobuaki Kato (bass), and Shohei Sasaki (drums). They first formed in 2011 and quickly caught attention with their debut album My First Story. Some of their music has also previously appeared in various other media, such as in the SEGA game Hortensia Saga as the theme song, in the PS4 game Let It Die, in the anime Kengan Ashura as the opening theme, and more.
