Anime Expo 2026 has announced the debut of JAPAN MUSIC VOCALOID, a new music event presented by Dwango that will take place on July 4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The lineup features prominent Vocaloid producers kz (livetune) and Hachioji-P, along with special guest TeddyLoid, known for his work in anime, games, and collaborations with major artists. Rising creators Satapan-P and picco will also perform, showcasing the evolving sound of Vocaloid music.

The event is part of Dwango’s initiative to support and promote emerging Vocaloid creators on a global stage through its Niconico platform. JAPAN MUSIC VOCALOID is included with an Anime Expo 2026 badge and aims to connect creators with international fans.

kz (livetune)

kz (livetune) is one of the most influential producers in the Vocaloid music scene. Rising to prominence in the late 2000s through the Niconico video platform, he became widely recognized for popularizing the use of Hatsune Miku with hit songs such as Packaged and Tell Your World. Beyond Vocaloid music, kz has made significant contributions to anime, composing and producing theme songs for series including Oreimo, The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, and Wake Up, Girls!. His blend of electronic dance music and catchy pop melodies helped bring Vocaloid culture into the mainstream and influenced a generation of anime and music creators.

Satapan-P

Satapan-P is a rising Japanese Vocaloid producer known for his high-energy electronic sound, genre-blending compositions, and chaotic yet catchy melodies. He gained widespread attention with the viral hit “YABABAINA”, featuring Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto, and Zundamon, which became a major online sensation and inspired fan animations, memes, and millions of views across social media platforms. Since debuting in 2022, Satapan-P has emerged as one of the most talked-about new voices in the Vocaloid scene, earning a large following through his unpredictable mix of electronic, metal, and pop influences. Other notable works include “Singularilari,” a futuristic Vocaloid track that ranked in The Vocaloid Collection 2026 Winter and further showcased his experimental style.

TeddyLoid 

TeddyLoid is a music producer, DJ, and composer known for blending electronic dance music with anime and pop culture. He first gained attention as the sound producer for the visual kei band SuG before launching a successful solo career. In the anime industry, TeddyLoid has composed and produced music for several popular series, including Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, ME!ME!ME!, and Guilty Crown. He also collaborated with artists such as Ado, DAOKO, Reol, and Giga on numerous anime and game-related projects. Known for his energetic EDM style and genre-crossing productions, TeddyLoid has become one of Japan’s most recognizable electronic music creators, with a strong influence on both anime music and contemporary Japanese pop culture.

Hachioji-P

Hachioji-P is a Japanese music producer, DJ, and songwriter who rose to prominence as one of the leading creators in the Vocaloid scene. Known for his upbeat electronic dance music and polished pop sound, he gained widespread recognition through popular Hatsune Miku songs such as “Sweet Devil,” “Electric Love,” and “Gimme×Gimme” (with Giga). Beyond Vocaloid, Hachioji-P has worked extensively in the anime and idol music industries, contributing songs and remixes for franchises including Love Live!, The iDOLM@STER, and various anime-related music projects. His energetic club-inspired style has made him a major influence in both the Vocaloid community and Japan’s broader anime music scene.

picco

picco is a Tokyo-based Vocaloid producer, DJ, and composer best known for her bright, energetic style that she calls “Hyper Kawaii Music.” Since debuting in 2017, she has built a strong following through her blend of future bass, electronic dance music, and Vocaloid vocals, primarily featuring Hatsune Miku. Among her notable works are “Silver Lining,” which was featured in the rhythm game #COMPASS Live Arena, as well as fan-favorite tracks such as “Flash,” “Story,” and “Poison Girl.” Beyond Vocaloid, picco has contributed music to game and multimedia projects and has become a prominent figure in Japan’s electronic and internet music scene, helping bring Vocaloid culture to new audiences through live performances and international events.
