Sony Music announced on Thursday that rock band SPYAIR will perform “Awake,” the opening theme song for the first cour of the upcoming TV anime adaptation of The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System. The anime is based on Brocco Lee’s manga adaptation of Nekoko’s light novel series.

The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System follows Elma Edvan, a young noble who is cast out by his family after receiving the seemingly weak Heavy Knight class during a coming-of-age ceremony. However, Elma remembers his past life and realizes that the world he lives in is actually the same as a game he once mastered. Using his extensive knowledge of the game’s hidden mechanics, skills, and future events, he turns what others see as an inferior class into an overwhelmingly powerful one. As he embarks on a new journey, Elma outsmarts his enemies, grows stronger, and proves that knowledge can be the greatest advantage of all.
