Shueisha will release the 39th volume of Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter manga on July 3, marking the series’ first new collected volume in nearly two years. The volume will include chapters 401–410, which were serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between late 2024 and early 2025. Despite ongoing health challenges that led to the manga’s hiatus and the end of its regular weekly schedule, Togashi has continued working on the series, sharing progress updates on social media and confirming that additional chapters are already in development. First launched in 1998, Hunter x Hunter remains one of Shueisha’s most popular manga franchises, spawning multiple anime adaptations, films, OVAs, and stage productions.
Hunter x Hunter follows a boy named Gon Freecss, who learns that his father is a famous Hunter—an elite adventurer who travels the world taking on dangerous jobs and missions. Gon decides to become a Hunter so he can find his father. During his journey, Gon meets new friends, including Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio. Known for its deep world-building, strategic battles, and unpredictable storytelling, Hunter x Hunter is widely regarded as one of the most influential shonen series of all time.
